
Tatjana Vasikj-Bozadzieva LL.M.
Judge
Tatjana Vasikj-Bozadzieva, LL.M., was born on 27 July 1973, in Skopje. She is of Macedonian nationality.
Education:
- Graduated from the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje.
- Earned a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje in the field of Civil Law.
- Passed the Bar Exam in 2018.
Professional Experience:
- From October 1998 to August 2001, she worked at the Ministry of Finance in the areas of public procurement, international finance, and public administration reform. She managed the interdepartmental body for coordinating reforms in this area (Public Administration Reform Unit).
- From August 2001 to January 2006, she worked at the Ministry of Justice as a State Advisor for Public Administration Reform and Head of the Strategic Planning Department.
- From January 2006 to August 2007, she worked as a National Expert on Property-Legal Relations and Trainer in the Project Unit responsible for implementing the project “Strengthening Institutional Capacities of the State Bureau of Geodetic Operations in Macedonia 2005-2008,” funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and implemented by Swedesurvey AB, the Overseas Agency for Lantmateriet, the National Land Survey of Sweden. This was a complementary project to the Real Estate Cadastre Reform Project, funded by the World Bank.
- From August 2007 to July 2009, she worked at the Real Estate Cadastre Agency as a State Legal Advisor and Advisor to the Director for Strategic Planning.
- From July 2009 to October 2013, she worked at the State Audit Office, where she was appointed as the first Secretary General of this institution (April 2011 to June 2013).
- From October 2013 to July 2019, she worked at the Ministry of Health as a State Advisor.
- From July 2019 to September 2020, she worked again at the Ministry of Justice as a State Advisor for EU Integration. As the Chair of the Working Group for Chapter 23, Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, she participated in the work of the Subcommittee on Justice and Home Affairs between the Republic of North Macedonia and the European Union within the Stabilization and Association Committee. As a representative of the Ministry of Justice, she was a member and project coordinator of the Steering Committee of the IPA Project “Support to the Justice Sector Reform.” Additionally, as Chair of the working group, she monitored the operational implementation of the Strategy for Justice Sector Reform (2017-2022).
- • From September 2020 to January 2022, she worked at the Ministry of Health as a Special Advisor for Legal Matters.
- • From 17 January 2022 to October 2022, she worked at the Ministry of Justice as a State Advisor for Civil Legislation.
On 28 October 2022, she was elected as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia.

- Law on Gender Equality, laws, and bylaws in the field of healthcare (first law in this area);

- Law on Medical Studies and Continuing Professional Development for Medical Doctors;
- Law on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, amendments to the Law on Biomedically Assisted Fertilization (first law in this area);

- She has attended numerous international trainings and conducted study visits to the Centre of Registers, an institution for registering real estate rights and cadastre in Lithuania; the Surveying Authority of Slovenia, KADASTER (the Cadastre of the Kingdom of the Netherlands), and Lantmateriet (the National Land Survey of Sweden), as well as the Netherlands Court of Audit.
- From 2006 to 2007, as a trainer, she conducted training and seminars for current and newly recruited members of the commissions responsible for public review of data in the process of establishing the real estate cadastre and for private surveyors on legal issues related to the establishment of the real estate cadastre, registration, and transfer of real estate rights, as well as on the legal and bylaw amendments and work procedures during the process of establishing the real estate cadastre (a total of 1,200 cadastral employees). In 2008, for the new Law on Real Estate Cadastre and its bylaws, she participated in the implementation of a total of 15 one-day seminars for regional real estate cadastre departments (369 cadastral employees) and two one-day seminars for the Real Estate Cadastre Center-Skopje (150 cadastral employees).
- In 2013, in Ankara, Turkey, she participated as a trainer in implementing the first international training for moderators for the IntoSAINT tool for Supreme Audit Institutions in the EUROSAI region, attended by 16 participants (8 from Turkey, 2 from Albania, Estonia, and Poland, and 1 from Hungary and Switzerland).
- As a national expert engaged by ODIHR (the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights), she conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the process of adopting and implementing laws and bylaws in North Macedonia and contributed to drafting a report presented in 2008 to the Minister of Justice and other senior government officials.
- She participated in the development of a Training Center as an internal organizational unit of the State Bureau of Geodetic Works (now the Real Estate Cadastre Agency) and intensively conducted training for their employees.
- She carried out the first self-assessment of vulnerabilities and the maturity of integrity controls for the State Audit Office as a moderator for the IntoSAINT tool, trained by the Netherlands Court of Audit, aimed at assessing and strengthening the integrity of Supreme Audit Institutions, focusing on preventing corruption. The goal was to analyze risks to their integrity, assess the maturity level of their integrity management systems, and design an integrity policy while simultaneously raising awareness among employees about integrity.
- She participated in designing and implementing the legal framework for surrogacy with a gestational carrier (so-called “surrogate motherhood”).
- She is a member of the Crisis Headquarters at the Ministry of Justice, which drafts decrees with legal force during states of emergency and crisis.
- She is a member of the National Technical Working Group for COVID-19 Vaccination and is responsible for drafting the legal framework aimed at regulating preventive measures against COVID-19.
