Secretary General of the Constitutional Court

Violeta Gjorgjievska LLM, was born on 19 July 1986 in Skopje. She is of Macedonian nationality. In 2009, she graduated from the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje. In January 2012, she earned a Master of Laws degree specializing in Criminal Law.

From 2009 to 2012, she volunteered as a legal practitioner at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje.

In 2012, she also served as a lay judge at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje.

She passed the Bar Exam in 2018.

Since March 2015, she has been employed at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia.
From 2021, she worked as an Advisor for Expert and Analytical Work in the Department of special and analytical affairs, International and Comparative Law of the Constitutional Court, then, she served as an Independent advisor for expert and analytical work, and from 2024, she assumed the role of Advisor of the Court for expert and analytical work.
She has participated in training programs in legal research and analysis, as well as human rights and freedoms, organized by the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and the OSCE.

She was elected Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia on 26 September 2024 and assumed office on 6 October 2024.

She is a co-author of the book “Loyalty to the Constitution-2: Interpretation of the Constitution” (2023)
She is the author of the book “Loyalty to the Constitution-3: Living Constitutionalism” (2024).
