Biography
Darko Kostadinovski LL.D. was born on November 27, 1974, in Skopje. He is of Macedonian nationality. He graduated from the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” in Skopje in 1997. In 2008, he earned his Master’s degree in Legal Sciences, and in 2012, he obtained his Doctorate in Legal Sciences. His Master’s thesis was titled “International Arbitration in Contemporary International Political Relations (at the Intersection of Law and Politics),” and his doctoral dissertation was on the topic “The Advisory Jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice: Legal Consequences of the Court’s Advisory Opinions.”
From 2001 until January 2018, he worked in the Office of the President of the Republic of Macedonia. Until 2010, he served as an assistant to the Foreign Policy Advisor and Head of the Department for the EU and NATO.
From 2010 to 2018, he was a State Foreign Policy Advisor.
From 2015 until January 2018, he held the position of Representative of the Republic of Macedonia in the United Nations’ Alliance of Civilizations.
On 11 January 2018, he was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia.
He has participated in numerous international and regional Summits, Conferences, and Forums on international law, particularly within the framework of the United Nations and the Council of Europe, as well as in diplomatic academies and training under the “World Learning” program in the United States.
