The Court Adviser, Aleksandar Lazov, participated in a regional conference dedicated to the promotion of the Guidelines for Compensation of Non-Pecuniary Damage in Cases of Discrimination. The event was held on 19 November in Belgrade, under the auspices of the OSCE Mission in Skopje, in cooperation with the OSCE missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
The Guidelines presented to the participants are the result of a regional initiative implemented in 2023 and 2024. Within the framework of the project, a national analysis was prepared and joint regional guidelines were developed, which will serve as a practical tool for courts in determining non-pecuniary damage in cases of discrimination.
During 2025, the Guidelines will be promoted through dedicated events in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of enhancing regional cooperation and strengthening legal practice in this field.
