Hristina Belovska has ten years of experience as a journalist, reporting on issues related to the judiciary, organised crime and corruption, the rule of law in Macedonia and European law, as well as civil rights and freedoms. She began her career at the student radio station “Student FM”, while her first professional employment was at the national television station “Sitel” in 2011.

In 2015, she continued her journalistic work at “Television 24”, and in 2021, she joined the “Investigative Reporting Lab (IRL)”. Belovska is one of eleven journalists who, together with ten judges, founded the Judicial-Media Council in 2018 – a body which, in terms of its remit, is the third of its kind in the world and the first in Europe. During its second mandate, Belovska served as Vice-President of the Council until her appointment to the Constitutional Court. Within the Judicial-Media Council, Hristina Belovska was also engaged as a trainer and lecturer, delivering workshops to judges through journalism schools aimed at enhancing judicial transparency and addressing the challenges faced by the public and the media in accessing the judiciary.

Hristina Belovska completed her undergraduate studies at the “Iustinianus Primus” Faculty of Law in Skopje, earning the academic title of Graduate Journalist with an average grade of 8.14. She subsequently pursued postgraduate studies in Public Relations, achieving an average grade of 9.80, and obtained a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences with a focus on public relations. Her master’s thesis was entitled: “Communicational and Legal Aspects of Judicial Transparency in the Republic of North Macedonia”.

Throughout her career, Belovska has actively participated in journalistic organisations and has served two terms as a member of the Executive Board of the Independent Union of Journalists and Media Workers (SSNM).

She was also a participant in a nine-month training programme under the US Fulbright initiative, aimed at educating student journalists in journalism. Additionally, during her studies and professional work, she took part in numerous trainings and workshops on the functioning of the judiciary, media lobbying, media literacy, and was certified in multimedia journalism through the “Thomson Media” programme.
